Hotshots extend winning streak, pick-apart Blackwater by 34 points
The Magnolia Hotshots scored a lopsided win against Blackwater Elite, 133-99, in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome on Wednesday.
Magnolia opened the game with a 34-18 in the first period, and even led by as much as 38 points.
From then on, Magnolia never looked back as they registered their fourth straight victory of the conference.
Romeo Travis posted 22 points and 12 rebounds. Paul Lee had 19 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the triple, while Jio Jalalon had a triple-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Magnolia continues to ride on their momentum, climbing at the second spot with 6-1 win-loss slate.
Meanwhile, Henry Walker chalked up 27 points and 18 rebounds before getting ejected in third period, while Poy Erram had 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Elite dropped to fourth seed with a 6-2 record, tying with Phoenix who recently came out with a win.
