Hotshots honor Pingris with #15 on their shoes and jerseys
After taking Marc Pingris’ words to heart, the Magnolia Hotshots scored their first win of the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, defeating the NLEX Road Warriors.
While the whole team felt motivated after learning that the Hotshots veteran would be out with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, the Pinoy Sakuragi remains optimistic and determined to fight for the team.
Especially after his teammate made a clear effort of dedicating their win for him.
In Game 2, the Hotshots honored Pingris with tape on their jerseys or shoes with “15” on it.
The veteran forward is expected to undergo surgery and will miss the series and possibly the remainder of the season in 6-8 months.
