TEN-year-old Filipina golfer Kamilla Edrianna Guerrero del Mundo capped a highly successful US campaign by winning the Girls’ 10 division of the 2026 U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The Bacoor, Cavite native carded a three-round total of 17-under-par 199 to edge American Zizi Townsend by one stroke and claim the championship trophy.

Del Mundo’s victory came against a strong international field of young golfers aged five to 12 who competed on courses around the Pinehurst area.

The title was the latest highlight of a remarkable summer for the young Filipina, who collected three major championships in the United States.

Before her triumph in Pinehurst, Del Mundo won the girls’ 9-10 division at the Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego, California. Her victory ended the Philippines’ seven-year wait for a title in the prestigious tournament.

She also topped the same age category at the Future Champions Golf International Championship in San Marcos, where she posted identical rounds of 57 for a 114 total.

Del Mundo’s string of victories further established her as one of the Philippines’ promising young golfers in the international junior circuit. (Adrian Co)
