2 UAAP assistant coaches embroiled in 2017 Finals ticket scam
A collegiate head coach reportedly went berserk as two of his then assistant coaches figured in a “ticket selling” scam at the height of their campaign a few months ago.
A source told Fast Break that the head coach blew his top when he got wind of the scam the two were focused on making profits from selling overpriced tickets in the black market instead of focusing on their championship campaign,
“Bad trip na bad trip talaga si coach. Kainitan nung kampanya nila sa (collegiate league) nung malaman niya na yung dalawang assistant coaches niya may kalokohang ginagawa,” said the source.
“Akala ni coach nung playoffs lang ginagawa nung dalawa yung pagbebenta nila ng ticket pero nalaman niya elimination round pa lang ginagawa na nila yun kaya lalong nagalit si coach,” he added.
“Nakapag timpi lang siguro si coach kundi pwede niyang umpugin sa biceps niya yung dalawang yun o sakalin gamit yung mamahalin niyang Ralph Lauren jackets,” the source said.
The two enterprising assistant coaches sold patron tickets for P12,000 each and a seat behind the basketball ring for P5,000.
