NLEX guard Robert Bolick leads the race for the PBA Governors’ Cup Best Player of the Conference award, with three Converge FiberXers players close behind as the tournament enters the quarterfinals.
Bolick posted a league-best 37.1 statistical points (SPs) in the latest rankings released by the PBA, backed by averages of 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game.
His all-around production helped the Road Warriors secure the top spot in Group A with a 9-3 record during the elimination round.
Terrafirma’s Maverick Ahanmisi sits second with 35.7 SPs, but the Dyip’s failure to reach the playoffs could weaken his bid for the individual award. He averaged 16.3 points and 7.6 rebounds while leading the league with 8.5 assists per game.
Ahanmisi also recorded the first triple-double of his career in Terrafirma’s final game of the conference, tallying 18 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in a 147-115 victory over Titan Ultra.
Converge has three players positioned among the top five contenders, led by Justin Arana at third with 34.7 SPs. The 6-foot-8 big man averaged 18.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
