As a Fil-American and a person with color, Aaron Black was obligated to speak uo against racial discrimination and stereotyping, which is relevant today.

The son of Meralco head coach Norman Black took on Twitter to express his thought after fellow African-American George Floyd was murdered by a police officer from Minnesota.

“No place for racism in this world. As a half black american that was raised here in the Philippines, I can truly say that different races can co exist without all the hate. Starts with accepting other people as they are and not stereotyping based on one’s skin color or culture,” Black said.

The former Ateneo guard also brought the discrimination that is happening in the Philippines as well.

“Let’s do our part and speak up against not only racism in the US but the injustices happening around us here in the Philippines as well. Together we can make a difference,” Black followed up.
