Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic goes into fight mode for the playoffs
Expect the Orlando Magic to go all out this second half of the season with the leadership of one Aaron Gordon.
The Magic haven’t been in the playoffs since 2012 and is now currently at the 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a 27-32 win-loss record.
“We’ve got to do everything that we can to give ourselves the opportunity to play in meaningful games down the stretch. We need a big-time focus level and that’s what it feels like around here now. It feels like we have something to fight for and we’re going to fight.’’ Gordon said.
The power forward has been one of the main guns for the Magic. The former Slam-Dunk contender is averaging 15.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
If the Magic can recreate the winning streak they had after sweeping five consecutive games before the break, they will surely be in a solid playoff position. They are set to face the Chicago Bulls on Saturday (Manila time) and will need all the power All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic and small forward Evan Fournier can give for a better chance of making it to the playoffs.
