Adams Traded to Pelicans, Ariza Moves Again
Oklahoma City Thunder continued with its offseason moves after trading away starting center Steven Adams in a four-time, five player trade on Friday (Saturday in the Philippines).
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Adams is to be shipped to the Pelicans, James Johnson is headed to Dallas Maverick, Delon Wright to Detroit Pistons, Justin Jackson, Trevor Ariza and future draft picks to the Thunder.
Adams is expected to remain a starter with his move to the Pelicans, which lost Derrick Favors earlier in the day to the Utah Jazz.
For Ariza, on the other hand, this will be his third time to be traded this week after being shipped by Portland Trailblazers to Houston Rockets for Robert Covington, by Rockets to the Pistons for future first round pick.
This four-team trade, according to Wojnarowski, was an extended part of previous trade transaction where Milwaukee Bucks acquired Jrue Holiday from the Pelicans for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and Milwaukee’s three future first round picks and two more second round selections.
