After 7 years in college, Asian legend Yao Ming finally graduates

Yao Ming has it all, from being a dominant force for China’s national team leading them to three FIBA Asia gold medals, being an eight-time NBA All-Star while playing for Houston Rockets and a Hall of Fame inductee for Class of 2016 along with Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson, and also being a succesful family man with his wife, Ye Li and their daughter.

In fact, he doesn’t even need to finish his studies given his success in his basketball career — but he did anyway.

37-year old Yao Ming was probably the tallest guy in the graduation rites as he finally holds his degree in Economics, 7 years after enrolling in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

If you think it was walk in the park for Ming because of his legendary status in China, you’re wrong.

He had to do severe multi-tasking bouncing from his studies, managing his team Shanghai Sharks in the CBA, and doing advocacy campaigns to protect wildlife. He even considered dropping out for multiple times but endured.
