San Miguel Alab Pilipinas remained unbeaten in their home turf after escaping the visiting Macau Black Bears, 106-99, on Friday night in the 2019 ASEAN Basketball League at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Prolific Alab import Renaldo Balkman was his usual self with 37 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.

Balkman sparked a blitzing 16-3 finishing kick that put the game beyond the Bears’ reach, 106-91, with less than two minutes left to play.

Balkman’s behemoth partner PJ Ramos posted a solid double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds while Bobby Ray Parks finished with 13 points, 10 assists, and four boards in the victory.

Alab, which is now 6-0 at home, was able to bounce back from a sorry 73-72 defeat to Formosa last Sunday.

The Philippine team’s slate improved to 7-2 overall.
