Alapag contemplates on staying in US
Jimmy Alapag might be heading back to US anytime soon because of the worsening situation of COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.
In a report from Spin.ph, Alab Pilipinas owner/agent Charlie Dy have confirmed that the former Gilas captain plans to leave going to California with his wife LJ Reyes and three children.
“With the uncertainties going on now, they are contemplating on going back to the U.S.,” according to Dy. “Nasa U.S. kasi ang family ni Jimmy so they will be closer to them.”
Alapag’s coaching duties have been on hold, starting with his job in PBA (season stoppage) as an assistant coach for San Miguel Beermen as well as being the head coach for Alab Pilipinas in ABL (cancelled season).
However, Dy assured that Alapag’s stay in US will be temporary.
“Anytime naman, puwede siyang bumalik especially if the situation already normalizes,” Dy said.
