FILIPINA tennis star Alexandra Eala made a brief return to Colegio San Agustin-Makati, where she held a short practice session as part of a low-key homecoming.
The school shared photos of Eala at its tennis court with School Rector Fr. Dante M. Bendoy, Fray Agustin and Vice-Rector Fr. Julian C. Mazana.
In its social media post, Colegio San Agustin described the visit as a “special but quiet homecoming” and expressed pride in Eala’s progress since her time at the school.
“We are immensely proud to see how far you have come, Alex, and grateful to have been part of your journey,” the school said.
Eala’s visit came shortly after her first appearance at New York Fashion Week, where she attended shows by Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Calvin Klein.
She was also seen with personalities from the fashion and entertainment industries, including former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, model Kelsey Merritt and actress Amanda Seyfried.
The tennis star is scheduled to return to competition at the Singapore Open, which will run from September 21 to 27. Eala is projected to enter the WTA 500 tournament as the No. 3 seed. (Adrian Co)
