FILIPINA tennis star Alexandra Eala turned heads off the court as she attended an event connected to the 2026 US Open in New York.
Eala appeared in a mustard-colored jacket paired with jeans as she joined fellow tennis personalities and fans for an evening celebrating the Grand Slam tournament.
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) featured Eala in a social media post, sharing photos of the 21-year-old at the event with the caption, “Enjoying a night full of legendary tennis!”
The appearance offered Eala a brief break from her competitive schedule as she prepares for her US Open singles campaign.
Eala enters the tournament as one of the rising stars of women’s tennis after reaching a career-high No. 18 in the WTA rankings this week.
Her 2026 season has included her first WTA 500 singles title at the Mubadala DC Open, a Round of 16 finish at the National Bank Open in Toronto and a third-round appearance at the Cincinnati Open.
She also competed in the US Open mixed doubles tournament with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime before their Round of 16 exit.
Eala is now set to focus on the women’s singles competition, where she will look to build on her breakthrough season and make another deep run at the Grand Slam where she won the junior girls’ singles title in 2022. (Adrian Co)
