Amar’e Stoudemire eyes NBA comeback

Amar’e Stoudemire is still hopeful that he will make a comeback in NBA eventually.

In an interview with TMZ, the former Phoenix star said that he is ready to suit up the moment he receives a phone call from some NBA teams.

“I’m still training and being patient,” said Stoudemire. “If a phone call comes my way, I’ll be ready for it. If not, there’s no pressure.”

The American-Israeli forward took his talent in Israel in 2016 right after he played in Miami Heat for the last time in NBA.

Stoudemire then joined the Big3 League in 2018, the same league where Joe Johnson spent his time just this year which paved the way for his NBA return in Detroit Pistons.

When asked on why Johnson was picked up by the NBA, this was Stoudemire’s answer.

“Joe played last year in the NBA. So, they’re pretty familiar with him. I was overseas in Israel for 3 years. So, kinda out of sight, out of mind. We’ll kind of see what happens.”
