RAIN or Shine guard Andrei Caracut is confident Adrian Nocum is ready for the biggest opportunity of his young career as his close friend and teammate prepares to represent the Philippines in the 2026 Asian Games.
Nocum is part of the 11-man PBA lineup that will carry the country’s gold-medal defense in Japan, with Caracut proudly supporting his longtime friend who is known for their frequent appearances together in vlogs.
“Siyempre masaya ako and kami na nasa Gilas si Nocs,” Caracut said.
Caracut believes Nocum has done more than enough preparation for the challenge, pointing to his work ethic and willingness to constantly learn and improve.
“Alam ko, alam namin na prepared siya kasi siyempre si Nocs masipag iyan and lagi siyang go hard and lagi nag-e-extra iyan,” he said.
With Nocum now set to wear the national colors, Caracut also sent his best wishes to his friend and the rest of Gilas Pilipinas.
“Good luck din sa buong Gilas,” Caracut added.
The Philippines is set to open its Asian Games campaign against Bahrain on September 11, followed by Kazakhstan on September 12 and China on September 14. (Jesus Nathaniel Valdez)
