One of the most infamous 2019 PBA All-Star snubs, Sean Anthony said that the upcoming festivity has become the least his concerns as his NorthPort Batang Pier squad have been inching closer and closer to the Philippine Cup playoffs.

Anthony and NorthPort have given life to their playoff aspirations when they defeated Alaska Aces, 94-84, Wednesday night.

With NorthPort moving one win away from clinching a quarterfinal berth as the league heads into the All-Star break, Anthony said he will gladly focus on next Wednesday’s crucial match against Barangay Ginebra.

A win against the streaking Ginebra squad will put the Batang Pier in the quarterfinals outright, while a loss will likely leave them in a playoff for the No. 8 spot, possibly against Alaska.

The nine-year veteran said he will be using the All-Star break to rest and at the same time prepare mentally for the important game against Ginebra.

“I’m actually happy that I can just relax and focus on this win. I’m happy that I can get to the gym, relax my legs, and just make sure that I’m fully focused already,” said Anthony.
