Atlanta Hawks Takes Down Golden State Warriors


Atlanta Hawks relied on a strong endgame rally to pull off a 117-111 victory over Golden State Warriors in the 2020-2021 NBA Season on Easter Sunday (Monday in the Philippines) at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Trailing 97-98, the Hawks went on an 8-0 blast via three-pointers by Bogdan Bogdanovic and Tony Snell and a two-pointer by Lou Williams to build a 105-98 advantage.

Stephen Curry pulled the Warriors to within 103-105 but the Hawks got a two-pointer from Williams and five straight points from Clint Capela to widen the lead to 114-106 with 32 seconds left.

Golden State made its last push at 111-115 on a basket by Curry and a triple by Kelly Oubre Jr. but two free throws from Gallinari sealed the victory for Atlanta.

Gallinari finished the match with double-double 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Capela also had a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Hawks (26-24).

Williams and Trae Young contributed 15 and 13 markers, respectively, while Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter added 10 each for the Hawks, which were without John Collins, DeAndre Hunter and Cam Reddish.

Curry finished the game with 37 points for the slumping Warriors (23-27), while Oubre, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green contributed 20, 16 and 11 markers, respectively.
