Gilas Pilipinas supporters are of the belief that Jaymar “CJ” Perez could have altered the game’s outcome if head coach Chot Reyes had granted him an opportunity during their 87-81 loss to the Dominican Republic.
Perez, who faced significant criticism from the same Gilas fans during the Southeast Asian Games, was the lone player on the Gilas 12-man roster who was not fielded by Reyes on Friday night.
The national team fans expressed their frustration, believing that Perez could have been beneficial, particularly when Jordan Clarkson fouled out with three minutes left in the game.

In that game, the Pangasinense guard faced accusations of intentionally affecting the game’s outcome due to his missed wide-open layups and free throws.
