Basher lang daw! Rovelyn Baterbonia denies P25,000 talent fee for school talk

Rovelyn Baterbonia addressing the viral screenshot and denying the alleged P25,000 school talk talent fee.

ROVELYN Baterbonia has denied the authenticity of a screenshot that allegedly showed her asking for a P25,000 talent fee to speak at a school event, saying the account and conversation were fabricated by people targeting her online.

The denial came shortly after a previous post circulated a screenshot purportedly showing an unidentified school representative inviting Baterbonia to speak before teachers and students.

In the alleged exchange, the representative reportedly said students considered her an inspiration and asked whether she could attend the event. The account allegedly attributed to Baterbonia then replied, “25k ang tf ko po,” followed by, “Donation po yan sa anak ko.”

The screenshot quickly circulated on social media and prompted discussions about the alleged speaking fee.

Baterbonia has now rejected the claim.

“Hindi po Yan akin account mga basher lang Walang magawa sa Buhay kondi kami na pagtripan,” she said in a post addressing the circulating material.

The latest statement directly contradicts the earlier claim that the screenshot represented an actual conversation between Baterbonia and a school representative.

The controversy is the latest social media issue involving Baterbonia, whose son, Rene Clert “Bobet” Baterbonia, was among the two Ateneo student-athletes who died during an off-campus team-building activity in Dipaculao, Aurora, on June 8.

Baterbonia has remained vocal on social media following her son’s death, while several posts and claims involving her have circulated online in recent weeks. (By the Staff)
