Batang Pier punish struggling Meralco
The Northport Batang Pier scored their second straight win by defeating Meralco Bolts, 99-94, in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup, on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
With less than a minute remaining on the clock, Stanley Pringle buried back-to-back triples to cruise past over the struggling Bolts.
Sean Anthony led Northport’s attack with 26 points. Stanley Pringle chalked up 24 points, while Rashad Woods added 20.
After dropping their first six games in the season-ending conference, The Batang Pier continue to hold to their playoff bid after winning two straight games.
On the other hand, Allen Durham powered Meralco with 37 points, 18 rebounds, and three dishes away from tallying a triple-double.
Meralco have yet to regain their composure, losing six straight outings after securing a victory in their first game.
