‘Battle of LA’ headlines NBA restart on July 30
The resuming of NBA season will headline an epic doubleheader including a Battle of Los Angeles between the Lakers and Clippers to open the restart in Orlando, Florida.
The NBA released the schedule for games in Orlando on Friday with the season resuming on July 30.
Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans will tip off against Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz who were among the first NBA players who tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Lakers will go toe-to-toe against Kawhi Leonard and Paul George of the Clippers.
On July 31, both Eastern Conference contenders Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks will square off on the second night, while the Houston Rockets will take on the Dallas Mavericks.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies will go against Portland Trailblazers — both of which are gunning for the eighth spot in the West.
