RAIN or Shine Elasto Painters guard Andrei Caracut has addressed the growing speculations surrounding his relationship with Capital Solar Spikers star Mhicaela ‘Bella’ Belen, saying they are just friends for now.
Caracut discussed the viral “BellDrei” nickname during his appearance on Face to Face with Ate Korina, hosted by Korina Sanchez.
When asked directly about his relationship with Belen, Caracut said, “magkaibigan po kami, hanggang doon lang po.”
Sanchez followed up by asking if fans should continue waiting for something more between the two.
“Maghihintay pa sila, oh,” Sanchez said jokingly.
Caracut also explained the origin of the growing fan interest in the pair, saying he became linked with Belen during the latter part of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
“Kailangan ko explain na maayos. Last conference po may nali-link sa aking volleyball star so medyo natutuwa ’yung fans doon sa binuo nilang ano (love team)” Caracut said.
He added that fans have since embraced the pairing, particularly through the “BellDrei” moniker, which combines Belen’s nickname and Caracut’s name.
The comments come after Caracut and Belen were spotted together several times on various occasions.
Despite the continued attention from fans, Caracut’s latest remarks make it clear that he currently considers Belen a friend, leaving the status of any possible romance to speculations. (Adrian Co)
