A screenshot of an alleged conversation involving Rovelyn Baterbonia, the mother of late Ateneo student-athlete Rene Clert Baterbonia, has surfaced online, purportedly showing her asking for a ₱25,000 fee to speak at a school event.
According to the screenshot, an unidentified school representative invited Baterbonia to address teachers and students, saying many of the students viewed her as an inspiration.
“Pwede po ba kayo ma-invite for our event po sa school? Many of the students here see you as an inspiration po. If free lang po kayo by next month pa naman po. Update ko po kayo sa exact date siguro bukas. Thank you Ma’am!” the alleged message read.
Baterbonia allegedly replied, “25k ang tf ko po.”
She reportedly followed this with, “Donation po yan sa anak ko.”
The screenshot did not identify the school representative or provide additional details about the proposed event.
The authenticity of the conversation, including whether the messages were genuinely exchanged between Baterbonia and a school representative, has not been independently verified.
The screenshot surfaced amid continued public discussion surrounding Baterbonia and her late son, who died on June 8 during an off-campus Ateneo team-building activity in Dipaculao, Aurora. (By the Staff)
