Bolts succumb to SK Knights, settles for fourth spot
The Meralco Bolts failed to secure a podium finish against SK Knights, 87-91, in 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup on Tuesday in Thailand.
Meralco came alive in the second half after the Korean club made a 17-0 run in the second canto, even grabbing the lead at the end of third period, 63-62.
However, the Bolts would run out of power in the late frame as the SK Knights would survive the absence of import Dajuan Summers after fouling out.
Summers scored 26 points, while An Youngjun and Kim Minsoo finished with 17 and 14 points respectively.
Meralco ended their FIBA Asia campaign with one win and four losses.
Diamond Stone posted 32 points and 13 rebounds while Allen Durham had 21 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
