Bong Quinto bids farewell to Letran community; declares for PBA Draft
Bong Quinto has declared himself available for the 2018 PBA Draft.
This announcement became official when the Letran forward addressed his own farewell letter to the Letran community.
“PBA is the goal,” said Quinto who exhausted his five playing years with the Intramuros-based squad.
Before publicizing his intention to take his talent to the professional league, the Season 94 Mythical Five member admitted that he became really emotional in their Final Four loss against Lyceum.
“I’ve experienced defeats before, but this one just hit me differently. It was one of those losses in which you don’t feel like going out, talking about, or even putting something in your stomach,” Quinto shared.
“There are other pains and aches I don’t need to go into. I figured enough is enough, and at some point I have to get up and embrace my next chapter.”
The former juniors rookie MVP is one of the highly-touted prospects in this year’s annual draft.
Although he is bound to leave his Alma Mater, Quinto gave thanks to his teammates, coaches, and to the Letran community for their unwavering support.
“I’m leaving but that doesn’t mean I’m not taking the Arriba spirit with me as I carry on in my new journey,” Quinto stated.
‘It’s already a part of me—I will keep moving forward with that fiery spirit and words that gave me the biggest motivation throughout my whole college career.”
