Buhat Papuntang Finals? No problem for LeBron James
LeBron James has successfully brought the Los Angeles Lakers to the finals after 10 years.
‘King James’ didn’t make it to the playoffs in his first year with the Lakers, but on his second season he delivered to his promise.
“My teammates said ‘bring us home’. And it’s my responsibility to make the right plays,” LeBron said after a 117-107 victory against Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
Despite the mixtures of veterans who have experienced or at least won a championship, almost half of the Lakers roster have not yet made it deep into the playoffs.
James, who has reached his 10th NBA Finals appearance in his career including eight straight in the last ’10 decade, knows a thing or two about carrying a team in the grand stage.
“We have a few guys on the team that has never been to the finals before so I took that responsibility as well,” LeBron stated after he finished the game with a triple-double of 38 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.
“My shoulders are wide enough to carry a lot of load. But my mind is stronger.”
The Lakers will now have to wait between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat for the most coveted Larry O’Brien trophy.
