Andrei Caracut was the hero that La Salle needed!

The Green Archers ended their two-game losing skid at the expense of Adamson Soaring Falcons, 68-61, in the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball tournament at the Ynares Sports Center, on Saturday September 21.

The CarMel backcourt duo ignited in the last two minutes of the game with a 10-3 surge, as Melecio banked a floater and a split charity while Caracut buried a crucial back-to-back triple and one free shot to seal the deal for the Archers.

“When you have a 1-3 standing, you get uncomfortable. Yun yung nag-test sa amin sa first four games and we just have to stick together,” La Salle head coach Gian Nazario said.

Caracut tallied 15 points, while Melecio had four markers, on top with seven rebounds and two assists.

It was Justine Baltazar who had a fiery performance for the Green Archers with 21 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

La Salle now improves their standing with 2-3 record, while Adamson drops at 3-3.

Falcons’ duo Jerrick Ahanmisi and Val Chauca chalked up 13 points apiece, but they would falter in the closing frame.
