Carlos Edriel and Karl Eldrew Yulo returned home from the 2026 Asian Games to a warm welcome from the family of Caloy’s partner, Chloe San Jose, following their successful campaign in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Carlos shared a video of the surprise gathering on social media, describing Jose’s family as his “CHOSEN family” and thanking them for their support throughout the Asian Games campaign.
“After everything we went through before and during the Asian Games, we came home to this surprise from our people, my CHOSEN family,” Carlos wrote.
The Filipino gymnastics star also expressed his gratitude to those who stayed with them through difficult moments and celebrated their victories.
“Thank You, Lord, for giving me people who went through the hard days with us, celebrate every victory with us, and never left our side. Salamat, Panginoon, sa pagpapala Mo sa amin,” he added.
Carlos also thanked Jose for allowing him and Eldrew to become part of her family.
“Thank you mahal ko Chloe sa pag share mo ng pamilya mo sa amin ni Eldrew, for loving us, looking after us, and making us feel that we are never alone,” Carlos said.
Carlos and Eldrew both represented the Philippines in gymnastics at the Asian Games.
Carlos enjoyed a standout campaign, winning two gold medals in the men’s floor exercise and vault events, while Eldrew took home a bronze medal in the horizontal bars.
