Castro expects Parks to help TNT end title drought
Jayson Castro said he expects Bobby Ray Parks to bring new dimensions to the TNT lineup and help the KaTropa’s quest to end a 4-year title drought in the PBA.
“Masaya kami napunta siya sa amin kasi malaking help,” Castro said of Parks, who came in via trade with Blackwater for Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad and a 2021 first-round draft pick . “At the same time, alam naman natin kung ano kaya niyang ibigay sa team. Malaking factor ‘yun.”
Castro said he expects Parks to have an easy time adjusting to the system of TNT coach Bong Ravena and active consultant Mark Dickel.
“Lahat naman dito professional at ‘yun ang kagandahan with coach Mark. Open communication kami dito. Isa lang ang goal namin. Makapasok uli ng semis and then from semis, let’s see kung makakapasok uli ng finals,” said Castro.
TNT last won a PBA championship during the 2015 Commissioner’s Cup with Ivan Johnson as their reinforcement.
