Despite no longer being part of Converge’s coaching staff, Charles Tiu expressed his excitement at the prospect of Juan Gomez de Liaño playing for the team he once mentored.
Tiu shared his thoughts on the possibility of Gomez de Liaño joining Converge, writing on his X account:
“Converge going to be so fun to watch Hi @juan_swish9! Imagine if they finally get to bring in Mickey (Williams).. that would be a really tough back court with 2 great bigs! Great moves!”
There have been rumors that Gomez de Liaño could be the potential No. 1 pick in the PBA Class of 2026.
Converge is slated to pick seventh in the 2026 Rookie Draft Night.
