Choco Mucho’s 25-21, 17-25, 25-17, 21-25, 16-18 loss to the seasoned F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational on Tuesday night proved to be a valuable learning experience for the Flying Titans.
According to Head Coach Dante Alinsunurin, the Flying Titans have made significant progress in terms of improvement since his initial tenure with the team during the All-Filipino Conference.
“Alam mo ‘yun, ‘yung dating compare mo doon sa first conference namin, sa second conference sobrang layo na namin. Ibig sabihin nandun na kami,” said Alinsunurin.
Even when trailing and dealing with a shortage of players after Desiree Cheng’s departure due to heat exhaustion, the ex-national men’s volleyball team coach expressed his admiration for the determination displayed by his players.
“Nakita ko lang talaga ‘yung team na kahit lamang ‘yung kalaban composed pa rin. Lumalaban pa rin. ‘Di pa rin binibigay,” Alinsunurin said. “‘Yun ‘yung natutunan namin ngayong second conference.”
“Konting konti na lang sa mga nakikita kong problema ng team ang kailangan namin ayusin,” he added.
With a current record of 2-1, the Flying Titans are eager to make a comeback as they face off against the Petro Gazz Angels on Saturday, July 15.
