Cignal HD Spikers’ Frances Xinia Molina received the highest individual honor of her career at the close of the 2023 PVL Invitational on late Sunday evening at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The 5-foot-9 spiker from Nueva Ecija won the PVL Invitational Most Valuable Player award after emerging as the highest-scoring local in the semifinals phase, totaling 87 points.
The 28-year-old Molina also achieved the third-highest spiker efficiency in the phase with a 33.65 percent success rate.
Meanwhile, Molina’s teammate Gel Cayuna nailed her second PVL Best award after averaging 5.14 excellent sets per game, while Kurashiki Ablaze’s Asaka Tamaru and Creamline Cool Smashers’ Alyssa Valdez were recognized as the Best Outside Spikers.
Three-time MVP Tots Carlos, also from Creamline, was awarded Best Opposite Hitter, while Majoy Baron of F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and Creamline’s Ced Domingo were recognized as the top Middle Blockers.
Completing the awardees was Kath Arado of PLDT High Speed Hitters, who topped both the digging (6.62) and receiving (53.76 percent) categories to nail her third-ever Best Libero trophy.
