Filipino football fans are set to witness the Philippine women’s football team make history in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup via Cignal TV’s newest sports app, Pilipinas Live.
According to concurrent MediaQuest and Cignal TV President & CEO Jane Jimenez Basas, fans can easily download the Pilipinas Live app via the App Store and Google Play Store to watch the games.
“Cignal TV is pleased to offer the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on our newest sports app, Pilipinas Live,” Basas said in a statement on Thursday.
“We recognize the passion and support given by the local fans to the girls in this quadrennial event. Thus, it became our mission to bring one of the most anticipated sports events of the year to our viewers,” she added.
Hali Long, Sarina Bolden, and Quinley Quezada will lead the Filipinas as they face Switzerland on July 21 at 1 p.m. (Manila time) in Dunedin, New Zealand, on July 25 at 1:30 p.m. (Manila time) in Wellington, and Norway on July 30 at 3 p.m. (Manila time) in Auckland.
It is a historic moment for the national women’s football team, as this is the country’s first time ever competing in the FIFA World Cup competition.
Aside from the highly anticipated matches for the Filipinas, games in the preliminary rounds of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will also be available in the app from July 20 to August 20.
Pilipinas Live is the only OTT platform that carries the Philippine Basketball Association, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, and the ongoing Premier Volleyball League.
The sports app will also stream the matches of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which will take place in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia from August 25 to September 10.
