Columbian Dyip taps ABL vet Kyle Barone for PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Columbian Dyip has asked for the services of ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) veteran Kyle Barone as its import for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Barone, 29, is a 6-foot-8 slotman out of the University of Idaho saw action for the Saigon Heat in the ABL where he averaged 21.1 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks.

Barone led the Vietnamese side to the quarterfinals where it lost to the CLS Knights in three games.

Barone also played in Poland, Hungary, Japan, and Taiwan before making his way to the ABL.

He will now be counted on to beef up Columbian’s frontline bannered by Jackson Corpuz, Russel Escoto, and veteran JayR Reyes.

Barone will look to partner with Columbian’s rookie sensation CJ Perez and avenge the squad’s 4-7 finish in the Philippine Cup.
