CSB’s Mycah Go nearing return from ACL injury

College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers star Mycah Go is getting closer to returning from her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

In a posted update by Farm Fresh Foxies, Go confirmed that she has received clearance to engage in certain volleyball-related movements.

“I’ve been cleared by my doctor to integrate volleyball-specific movements na into my training,” Go said.

“So paunti-unti, footwork with very light jumping, and, hopefully, siguro diretso na sa spiking,” she added.

Go did not confirm whether she plans to don the Foxies’ uniform for the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference in October. However, she expressed her determination to achieve full recovery and be in optimal health for the Lady Blazers during the NCAA season.

“Ang goal ko talaga is makahabol ako for my last year in the NCAA and then transition into playing in the pros,” Go said.

Go suffered her ACL injury during a training session with the Lady Blazers before the NCAA Season 98 tournament earlier this year.

Even in Go’s absence, the Lady Blazers achieved success by securing their second consecutive NCAA championship.

She was also signed by the Foxies, a team managed by her Lady Blazers head coach, Jerry Yee, despite her injury.
