Dallas Mavs Repeats Over LA Clippers, Takes 2-0 Series Edge
Dallas Mavericks repeated its dominance of Los Angeles Clippers with a 127-121 Game 2 victory in their NBA Western Conference first round playoffs on Tuesday at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 39 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 28 markers, including some clutch baskets down the stretch.
Kristaps Porzingis contributed 20 points, while Maxi Kleber had 13 points as the Mavericks cruised to a 2-0 lead as the series shifts to Dallas, Texas for Games 3 and 4.
Ahead by double-digits for most of the game, the Mavericks suddenly saw its lead trimmed to 116-120 with under a minute left but the Mavericks widened it with a Hardaway triple.
The Clippers had its last push at 121-125 on a three-pointer by Nicolas Batum but free throw hits by Josh Richardson sealed the victory for the Mavericks.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 41 points, Paul George had double-double 28 points and 13 rebounds, as Reggie Jackson contributed 15 points.
