Dave Ildefonso’s Ateneo Homecoming a possibility

It looks like Dave Ildefonso is bound to return to Katipunan with the Blue Eagles.

According to multiple reports, the Bulldogs star has contemplated leaving NU for Ateneo in hopes of replicating his juniors’ success.

News first came out that newly-appointed head coach Goldwyn Monteverde made a total revamp from the coaching staff, which left Dave’s father and NU assistant coach Danny Ildefonso to pack his bag and leave his Alma Mater.

Danny’s departure in Jhocson might also factor in Dave’s reunion with the Blue Eagles.

The younger Ildefonso had a spectacular run in UAAP Season 82, averaging 17.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, but his production wasn’t enough for him to salvage NU from finishing dead last at the standings with a 2-12 record.

Dave has yet to comment on the said issue, but if his decision became official, he still have three more playing years in UAAP, although he is not exempted in serving his one-year residency rule.
