Derrick Rose out vs Grizzlies due to ankle injury
After sitting out in three straight games with a right ankle injury, Derrick Rose came back with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday (Manila time) facing the Denver Nuggets.
Sadly, he re-aggravated his right ankle during a fast break layup in the third quarter and could not practice anymore on Monday.
Jon Krawczynski tweeted the announcement saying “Derrick Rose is OUT for tomorrow with a sprained ankle. Happened in the second half on Saturday against Denver”.
The Timberwolves’ star is suffering a ligament damage in his right ankle. Rose shared to the reporters on Sunday that when he landed in his layup scene, the pain got a lot worse.
Rose only scored 8 points and 5 assists in 20 minutes of that game.
The best option for the former MVP is to take at least a week off so his ankle could heal and to not aggrevate the injury further.
The Timberwolves will take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday Rose-less in their line up. (Janiel Abby Toralba)
