Despite 2-0 slate, Padda still unhappy
Adamson University Lady Falcons head coach Airess Padda revealed that she is still not happy with the way her girls are performing.
“With our team, I know in the beginning of the match the arena was dead,” said Padda after getting their second straight game against the College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, in the 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Arena Sunday.
“Like, there was no music, barely any audience. I try to tell them ‘you can’t let that dictate how hard you play’. It’s a distraction,” Padda added.
She also pointed out that her team committed too many errors, and some of her players failed to deliver.
“It’s like I just started talking to them about stats this week and really breaking down stats and sometimes they’re like ‘Oh coach I got 12 points’ but ‘yeah but you also committed 12 errors. You scored 12 points for your team but you also scored 12 for them so now you’re at 0.’ And that’s where our inconsistency lies,” she added.
Padda and the rest of the Lady Falcons will take on league leading Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Sunday, August 5.
