Following his five-year stint with the Memphis Grizzlies, Dillon Brooks is on his way to the Houston Rockets.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets managed to acquire Brooks after offering him a 4-year, $80 million contract.
Brooks’ 3-year contract extension with the Grizzlies has expired this offseason.
During his time with the Grizzlies, he averaged 14.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
Brooks embraced his villain role during the previous playoffs when he referred to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James as “old” during their face-off in the first round.
In addition to Brooks, the Rockets had previously secured Fred VanVleet by offering him a max deal of a 3-year, $130 million contract. (Mark Patriarca)
