Several players from the De La Salle University Lady Spikers and the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses engaged in a friendly catch-up, known as “kamustahan,” during a casual interaction after crossing paths at a recent Shakey’s Super League event.
Lady Spikers’ Amie Provido was playfully photographed “choking” her close friend, Golden Tigresses setter Elisha Juliene Apostol, as shown in an Instagram post.
Both Provido and Apostol hail from Iloilo City and have teamed up as teammates in various local leagues within their province.
The second image featured Golden Tigresses setter Cassie Carballo playfully holding Lady Spikers’ Angel Canino by the neck.
Carballo and Canino share origins in Bacolod City and were once teammates at De La Salle Zobel Junior Lady Spikers in the UAAP juniors division.
The images demonstrated that the rivalry between the two UAAP schools remains confined to the court.
