Do you agree? Japeth Aguilar > Chris Standhardinger
For Quinito Henson, Japeth Aguilar would’ve been a better choice than Christian Standhardinger for the Philippine team that finished No. 11 in the FIBA 3×3 World Cup.
This is what the veteran Sports commentator said in a Twitter post after the recently-concluded tournament. He thinks that with Aguilar’s quicker defense, better scoring performance, and more exposure to physical games and shot blockers; the Philippine squad would’ve advanced to the 3×3 playoffs.
Senator Sonny Angara also chides in by stating that Standhardinger didn’t looked his 100% during the competition. He also agreed to the points made by Henson.
No disrespect to Christian who played his guts out despite bad knee but if Japeth played instead, Philippines would've advanced to FIBA 3×3 World Cup playoffs-Japeth quicker in defense, better scorer, more used to physical game, more intimidating shot blocker-what do you think?

He didn’t look a 100% but effort was there. Bigger presence inside but maybe JA better on switches ? Either way u point out things wc need to be addressed

If not for the 2 flagrant fouls vs mongolia, i guess we still would have advanced to the semis. RRs hard foul was just a playoff foul in regular game. My heart goes for the effort of CS. Great talking points gentlemen. 🇵🇭🏀

The Philippines failed to join the knock-out stage of the 3×3 World Cup with their 2 Wins-2 Loses record. Standhardinger played ithrough the competition after nursing a knee injury.
