Edmund outlasts Dimitrov

192

World no. 49 Kyle Edmund upset third-seeded Grigor Dimitrov, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3, 6–4, in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Australian Open.

Dimitrov committed a costly error in the last game of the fourth set after Edmund served up an ace, 6-4.

This is Edmund’s time to shine as former world no. 1 and compatriot Andy Murray decided to skip this year’s Australian Open due to injury.

Edmund will next face Marin Cilic.
