Filipino middleweight prospect Eumir Marcial continues to train even while on vacation here at home as he conditions his body for hard training when he flies back to the US.
The Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist said he is expected to fight as a pro again sometime in August before he competes in the Asian Games.
“Kahit nandito ako, tuloy tuloy na ang training para pagbalik sa US hard training at sparring na kaagad para preparation sa next fight ko sa pro,” said Marcial in an interview on PTV Sports.
“’Di ko pa alam kung sinong makakalaban ko, kaya kelangan kong bumalik sa US para hanapan ako ng match up,” he added.
“After ng laban ng August, baka diretso na ko sa Asian Games dahil ang Asian Games ang first qualifying namin for Paris Olympics.”
Marcial was forced to skip out on the recent 32nd Southeast Asian Games to give his hand time to recover after surgery.
