F2 Logistics Cargo Movers’ head coach, Regine Diego, openly expressed her admiration for Choco Mucho Flying Titans’ standout, Cherry Rondina, after their intense clash in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational late Tuesday night.
Diego asserted that Rondina, formerly a member of the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses, has been skillfully shaped by her previous coaches, transforming her into a formidable force as a volleyball player on the court.
“Sisi sobrang galing mo naman, sana all,” Diego said in a post-game interview. “That girl is really something else; kudos also to all na naging coaches ni Sisi. You made a monster; she’s very scary.”
The Cebuana volleyball player took charge of the offense for the Flying Titans, delivering an impressive performance with 28 points, achieved through 27 successful attacks and a block. Despite her outstanding contributions, Choco Mucho ultimately suffered a close 25-21, 17-25, 25-17, 21-25, 16-18 defeat against the Cargo Movers.
Overall, Diego said that the Flying Titans have totally improved as a team compared to the squad that they encountered during the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference earlier this year.
“It was just a good game with my girls and maybe a little bit luckier than Choco Mucho because Choco Mucho is a titan; they’re really a titan,” said Diego. “Sobrang lakas nila ngayon, but I think we just worked together.”
