Fil-Am Jalen Green makes big strides in FIBA U-17
By Mark Patriarca
Batang Gilas Pilipinas already bowed out of contention in the FIBA U-17 World championships failing to get a ‘W’ in four games in group rounds. But Filipinos still has someone to root for as Fil-American Jalen Green continues to impress for the US national team by scoring double-digits on all of their games.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard is a vital cog on USA’s offense in their quarterfinals romp against Croatia, 126-52, where he became the second top scorer for the squad posting 27 points in an efficient 10 out of 13 shooting clip.
The 16-year old Fil-Am prodigy also boast a solid 14.8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists average in the international tournament, making NBA scouts salivate for his tremendous upside once he turns pro where he is expected to go first pick of NBA class of 2020.
Here are some of his highlights from his FIBA stint:

Though Green will be a good candidate to boost our very own national team, he won’t be able to do it as local since he already suited up for a FIBA-sanctioned event under the banner of USA’s national team.
