Despite Ron Harper Jr.’s impressive performance, the Toronto Raptors succumbed to an 83-74 defeat against the Chicago Bulls in the 2023 NBA Summer League, held on Saturday at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Filipino-American forward tallied 10 points, including two three-pointers, to go with six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and a block for the Raptors.
Harper immediately made his mark with five early points in the first quarter before he slowed down with just two in the second frame and a triple in the final quarter.
The son of former Chicago Bulls legend Ron Harper Sr. is set to return for his sophomore season with the Raptors after being extended a two-way qualifying offer recently.
Meanwhile, Kamaka Hepa was not inserted by the New Orleans Pelicans in their 102-88 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Filipino-American center was one of the three players not fielded by the Pelicans in the contest despite the lopsided outcome.
