The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers have successfully secured the commitment of Filipino-American winger Jason Suba.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Growling Tigers introduced the 6-foot-2 Suba alongside another Filipino-American recruit, John Abate, the son of former PBA player John Arigo.
Suba, a transfer from Kean University, showcased his skills for Team United USA in the 2023 NBTC National Finals, impressively tallying 11.0 points and 3.7 rebounds.
He will still have four years of collegiate eligibility, starting with UAAP Season 87 next year.
“Nadadagdagan ‘yung mga materyales natin dito sa UST, so importante para sa amin na mas mailabas pa ‘yung galing nila para rin makatulong sila sa atin,” said UST head coach Pido Jarencio.
