Former Ginebra teammates blurt out thoughts on shocking trade
Joe Devance, Greg Slaughter and even Ginebra Coach Tim Cone can’t help but blurt out their emotions on the two-on-two trade.
The defending PBA Governors’ Cup champions traded Chris Ellis and Dave Marcelo for Art Dela Cruz and Raymond Aguilar from Blackwater Elite.
From teammates to NSD fans and upset coach, there were plenty of reaction on Twitter regarding the surprising trade.
Trading them leaves a void in the Gin Kings locker room.
This is the sad part of the business besides losing championships and games. To see your brothers traded to another team.

To see my brother @kingchrisellis1 journey while we played together has been amazing. From where he was at before to now is truly inspiring!

Chris Ellis: incredible work ethic, developed into a great teammate, unselfish, and our defensive stopper. We will miss him in so many ways.

Dave Marcelo: gave us so much during our championship run, the most loved guy on the team, comes to work with a smile. He will be missed.
