Fuel Masters demolish NLEX behind Phelps’ 51 points

The Phoenix Fuel Masters drubbed NLEX Road Warriors by 26 points, 123-97, in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Phoenix asserted their dominance in the first half, posting an overwhelming 71-33 lead.

Second half proved to be the same story for the Fuel Masters, as NLEX was helpless all throughout the game.

Eugene Phelps had another 50-point performance this conference, tallying 51 points, 20 rebounds, and three blocks. Calvin Abueva contributed 17 points while Matthew Wright had 10.

With that emphatic in, the Fuel Master strengthened their playoff bid by improving their slate at 6-2.

Meanwhile, Aaron Fuller had 38 posted and 14 rebounds, while Bong Galanza chalked up 13 markers for the Road Warriors.
